Corporate Rules You Should Follow

The reality is we often spend more time at work than at home, most of us spend 8 or more hours a day in an office environment. This means that good office etiquette is incredibly important. Workplace etiquette help coworkers feel comfortable around each other, and it leaves a good impression as well.

To keep the Peace and Harmony in your office, here are a few corporate rules to follow:

1) Always loop your boss in every mail, No matter how least important it looks, at least your boss should be in the Bcc.

2) Do not Speak more than necessary, doesn't matter whether you are in Cafeteria, At your desk, or in a gossip conversation.

3) Practice Patience & Listen to others.

4) Practice Empathy & Respond.

5) Learn to say no, when the situation demands, Learn to Prioritize your work.

6) Treat office boys, Janitor & IT guys respectfully, They can be helpful in enormous ways which you can't even imagine.

7) Politics is everywhere, Learn to Navigate it, Not to Implement it.

8) There is always time at the office, try to use it to upgrade your skills.

9) Smile & Know People.

10) Documentation is the Leader.

11) Respect Coworker's downtime. Don't just nudge during their leaves or when they are sick.

12) Dress appropriately, have a good simple dress code during your office hours.

13) Be on Time, Leave on Time.

14) Observe Everyone & Learn From Everyone.
