5 Books You Should Read, Even If You Hate Reading

Technologies are spreading rapidly in the world, well probably everything thing is getting digitized, every year or should I say every quarter we are witnessing the new invention.

I am not against digitization, even digitization is making our life very easier, rightBut still, there is another side to the coin as well, we are getting addicted to this, there severe mental health problems associated & what else the list will go on, probably you should google to find out the effects you will get a hell of a list or You should probably watch the Netflix Documentary "The Social Dilemma", this doc movie will definitely open your eyes to the well-crafted tech giants & how they use various ways to keep you glue at the screen.

As per experts, you should spend at least one whole day of one week without a screen.

I am not even saying then just stop the digitization & just do reading all the way.
Nope, you can't do that & to be honest, no one can, because IT engineers like us depend on this digitization world to make their monthly wages, so what I am talking about is "To-Regulate" the things, Yes limiting the things will definitely help us.

Everything you do no matter whether it is even good or bad, but if you do that thing in regulation it will help you, even reading beyond a limit is also not good.
I was a Binge Watcher earlier, I used to stream a whole season's of a lot of series in a single day, but as time goes on I am observing the effects of this, I am getting lazy, I procrastinate a lot, my eyes are swelling, So I started regulating the things I used to keep a time slot for binge-watching & reading & Yes it helps.

So the sutra is simple "TO-REGULATE" everything you do in your life.

Below are a few benefits of reading which I want to mention:

  • Helps you to get a good sleep
  • Improves your personality
  • Prevents Depression
  • Literal workout for the Brain
  • Stronger Analytical thinking skills

& there are plenty of other benefits also.

So let' start with the topic of today's Blog, below are a few books that will probably help you with the kick start of your reading habit.

1) Life is what matters (Author- Alka Dixit)

My personal favorite book by an Indian author to date, I have been reading books for the past 2.6 yrs approx, this book was my 5th or 6th read & it was just awesome, I completed reading this book in just one day. The book is written in very simple English language, what impressed me is the attitude of the lead character played by Alka Dixit, No matter how bad the situation is the character is used to find something positive from it & to be happy for that.

Not revealing much about it, just grab this book & have an awesome read.

2) The Deadly Dozens - India's most notorious serial killers

(Author -Anirban Bhattacharya)

Now, Here comes the Genre which is loved by everyone "Thrill & Suspense".
This book depicts the famous serial killer that India has ever witnessed, reading this book is as good as watching any famous crime thriller show, language is very layman & explanation is also very basic to understand how the judicial process works in a few of the serial killing cases.

Do read it & you will not regret it.

3) Who Stole My Job (Author - Sunil Mishra)

This is the corporate book, as I am currently working in the corporate space so the inclusion of this book is imperative for me. The book is written from the perspective of two designations i.e Manager & Employee, How the corporate world who at a time treats you very well with their illusions & the moment when you tried to change the things as per your perspective, then the treatment you got.

Yes, you will definitely learn something from this book, to survive in this two-faced well-polished corporate world.

4) 72 @ 72: 72 Unfinished things India needs to do (Author: Amit Bagaria)

A Very well researched book on the unfinished things which India is still struggling to get done since 1947, the Author has explained it in very lame language especially the Political part which many people find tough to understand.

A few of these things you are already aware of, like Reservation, Educational Qualification of MP's & Smart Cities. Do give it a try & you will amaze to see this, there are plenty of other things also pending which are backing us from becoming a Developed country from a Developing Country.

5) Be my Perfect Ending (Author: Arpit Vageria)

A Beautiful portrayal of Romance with an Emotional touch, This is the story that tells us about the value of true love, the value of our parents, choices in life, struggle, understanding between close ones, regression, etc.

Every emotion is defined in a pleasing way, which leaves a flawless memory in your mind. Do give it a try also.

Hope you find this blog helpful & do have a good read :)
