Continuation to the Previous Blog, Here are the next two actors



                             Jack Nicholson






Short Intro:


His Original name is "John Joseph Nicholson", He is one of the most prominent American actors of his generation, well known for his versatile portrayals of unconventional, alienated outsiders. He has a total of 12 Oscar Nominations & has won 3 times. Other than Michael Caine, he is also notable for being one of the two actors who has received Oscar Nomination in every decade from the 1960s through the early 2000s.

1) When he played the role of Joker in Tim Burton's Batman(1989), He actually bought that Joker Costume worth $70,000.

2) The Joker actually became such an iconic role, that it was prominently featured during his "Life Achievement Award" ceremony at the American Film Institute in 1994.

3) He won his first Oscar playing a "Mental Patient" in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

4) In the early 1970s, Stanley Kubrick cast Jack Nicholson as Napoleon in a biopic, but the plans for the film fell through. The director and actor would finally work together nearly a decade later in the 1980's "The Shining".

5)  Even though he played the villain in 1989's "Batman," he got top billing over Michael Keaton as the title character. He also made sure he got a percentage of the merchandising, meaning his role as the Joker netted him between $60 and $90 million.

Marlon Brando, in full Marlon Brando, Jr., (born April 3, 1924, Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.—died July 1, 2004, Los Angeles, California), American motion-picture and stage actor is known for his visceral, brooding characterizations. Brando was the most celebrated of the method actors, and his slurred, mumbling delivery marked his rejection of classical dramatic training. His true and passionate performances proved him one of the greatest actors of his generation.

11) HIS ACADEMY AWARD WAS STOLENAfter winning Best Actor for his role in the 1954 film On the Waterfront, Brando's Academy Award was stolen. Years later, it was found at a London auction house and returned to the actor.

Method Actor Series | Part -1

I have been doing this Series on "Method Acting" in Parts to do justice to my time & actor's effort that has been spent on this ART.

The list of actors that I will include will be based on the movies that I watched till now & in this lockdown, I got plenty of time apart from my work to watch few movies & did spent it well on some reasonable movies. I came across such tremendous performances by a few actors, It literally gave me goosebumps to think that they are doing it on camera, It's just unbelievable.

So the first actor I want to include in this list is "Daniel Day Lewis"

                                Daniel Day Lewis




Short Intro:


He is a Retired English actor, born on 29th April 1957 in London. His full name is Sir Daniel Michael Blake Day-Lewis. His first movie was "Sunday Bloody Sunday" which was released in 1971 & his last movie was "Phantom Thread" which released in 2017. He did act on a few television shows & had done theatre also in his early days. He is known for his on-screen ferocity & for his exhaustive preparation for roles. An Actor one of a Kind.

3) He is the only male actor to win three Oscars in the Best Actor Category. He won Best Actor for:

4) He is widely recognized as Method Actor, due to this devotion to the character that he is playing in the movie, His devotion is so intense to the point, that it affects his health adversely.

His full name is "Alfredo James Pacino", He is born in New York, USA on 25th April 1940. He is an American actor best known for his vigorous, explosive acting style.
He also had an impressive career on stage & in the theatre as well. He made his filmmaking debut in 1996 with the movie named "Looking for Richard".

10) AL Pacino did not want to act in the gangster movie "The Godfather" & the team also does not want to work with him, except for director Francis Ford Coppola.

Movies you should watch at least once in your lifetime

Movies or should we say "Cinema" are the medium with which we can go on the ride of various emotions by being stationary at a single position. Those rides do teach us a lot from there actions, many of us can relate with it an enormous way. 

Movies included in this list come under the Mix Genres & few of them come under the semi-underrated category as well. Do watch these films you will definitely learn something from this & it's worth your time.

10) Django Unchained:




This movie encloses the brutality that happens to the black people around the 17th Century in America, how black people have been treated as slaves & people ruling the kingdom treat them as their personal toys.

The movie has the plot which revolves around the bounty hunter Played by (Christoph Waltz) & Slave played by (Jamie Fox) & how with the help of bounty hunter he rescues his wife from the vicious plantation owner played by (Leonardo DiCaprio)

This movie is filled with lots of ups and downs with the touch of Tarantino's creativity.

Fact: While in one of the scene(Dinner Scene), Leo has cut his own hand mistakenly but still he continues the screenplay without stopping the shooting.


9) The Good The Bad The Ugly:




A Masterpiece by Sergio Leone, A gem from the past, this movie depicts the personification of masculinity, Clint Eastwood is the perfect casting for this. 

The movie is the simple tale of three gunslingers forms an unlikely alliance of the hate, in order to find the stolen gold worth $200,000 in a country that is ravaged by war, is elegantly told by the creator.

Fact: Director Sergio Leone does not speak English, hence he needs a translater to communicate with Clint Eastwood.



8) The Terminal:




An underrated gem from the treasury of Tom Hanks, the movie revolves around a tourist who came to the USA to fulfill his dad's wish but while his plane on the air due to a military coup in his country, the USA cancels all tie's with his country.

Everything else follows the comedic adventure of Tom hanks in the JFK airport, the ending is a bit emotional but it is worth the time. 

Fact: The Movie was loosely based on the real incident of an Iranian refugee which took place in Charles De Gaulle Airport, Paris


7) Taxi Driver:    





This is the probably the first full-fledged dark-themed thriller by Martin Scorsese.
The movie showcases us the Individuals fight against loneliness and for justice.

The movie has a tax driver played by(Robert De Niro) who is mentally unstable & he has nothing to live for in life. His infatuation with Betsy is doomed to go nowhere. He feels the need to lie to his parents(in the form of a letter) to make his life look better than the boring reality.

Fact: Robert DeNiro worked aggressively for a month driving cab to prepare for the role.

6) The Shining:



The only classic horror genre movie by Stanley Kubrick which starred Jack Nicholson.

The plot revolves around the disturbing hotel, where the family comes for the permanent stay, but soon the devil from the hotel starts to erupt, first to the father & how he turns become the devil of the hotel.

Jack Nicholson's powerful performance as the mad father & husband is over the top as it is brilliant & Stanley Kubrick's direction is pure excellence.

Fact: There is a scene named "Here's Johnny!" required 3 days & 60 doors to shoot.


5) A Clockwork Orange:




Another one from Mr.Kubrick, It is one of the '70's most controversial movies & easily one of the most disturbing movies of all time.

The Story of the film is set in the near future and it follows Alex, a 15-year old boy with his gang, rob, rape, fight & randomly attack people. In the gang, there is a power struggle and after a robbery gone wrong he was betrayed and gets arrested for murder & soon follows the Plot.

Fact: The Movie was initially banned in the UK due to its X-rating & Kubrick and his family received a death threat.

4) 12 Angry Men:




A courtroom drama, starred by Henry Fonda, 12 Angry Men is a masterpiece on its own, A Black & White time thrill.

No Sex, No Graphic, No Violence, No Swearing, No Politics, No Stunts but still movie will take you into one of the most thrilled & suspense ride.

It is the courtroom drama movie, where a team of the jury is discussing the case of a teenage boy, where he is accused of killing his own father.

Fact: It was inspired by the real jury duty experience.

3) Life is beautiful:





This Movie is the mixture of Tragedy with Comedy, It's an Ironical thing about this movie that how the most inhumane act in human history could be seen in a humorous perspective.

The film falls into two parts, one is pure comedy, and the other smiles through tears.
The lead actor played by Robert Benigni, and his son had faced the holocaust. To save his son from the worse situation of the holocaust he acts humorously and tries to convince him as it is the game we are playing.

A must watch with family, especially the end is very cheerful.

Fact: Robert Benigni is both the lead actor & director of the film.

2) The Green Mile: 




Another one from Tom Hanks on the list, the movie has so many emotional moments that it's hard not to sympathize with the characters.

The Movie is told through the eyes of the prison guard named Pau(Tom Hanks) and the year he spent with John Coffey(Michael Clarke Duncan), a death row inmate who has miraculous power. As the film goes on, you get to know Coffey, and you love him, though he's impossible to hate.

Fact: The Green Mile was the highest-grossing Stephen King movie

1) Grave of the Fireflies:





This a Japnese animated film, An Emotional Masterpiece ever, This Film literally redefines the meaning of Emotions, if you are not emotionally strong please don't watch this movie.

The plot is simple, the movie encapsulates the struggle of a boy and his sister during World War II in Japan.

You will definitely be in eyes full of tears, after watching this movie.

Fact: It is often regarded as one of the saddest movies ever made.

Upcoming much Anticipated Movies of Bollywood


Here is the list of few much-anticipated movies of 2020:

But due to the current ongoing pandemic, a few of these may get shifted to the first half of 2021.


  • Shakuntala Devi:- 

       It is the biopic of Shakuntala devil, Her role in the movie is portrayed by Vidya Balan, Shakuntala Devi was the maths genius and she is often recognized as the Human-computer in the whole world.





  • Gulabo Sitabo:-  

          Directed by Soojit Sarkar, The film will have the cast as Ayushman Khurrana & Amitabh Bachhan in lead. The Film is a family-based comedy-centric film.



  • The Girl on the Train:- 

        It is the remake of the Hollywood movie with the same title, Parineeti Chopra has been cast for this film, The story of the film revolves around the murder mystery, while during the investigation many hidden secrets rolled out.



  • Jersey:

       It is the remake of the Telugu film, where Shahid Kapoor is playing the role of a father who is a former cricket player & to fulfill his son's dream he started playing cricket again.



  • Cargo:- 

        Bollywood has rarely produced sci-fi genre films & most of the time the production value and story are too cheap. This film cargo is based on the story of 3 astronauts and their space mission. Vikrant Massey & Shweta Tripathi will be seen in this film.




  • Maidaan:-

       In this film, we will see the story of the Indian football team, which during 1951 and 1962 have tasted victory. Ajay Devgan will play the role of  Saeed Abdul Rahim who was the captain of the Indian football team during that era.




  • The White Tiger:-

        This movie is the adaptation of the best seller book written by Arvind Adiga of the same name. Rajkumar Rao & Priyanka Chopra will be starred in this film. The film will also be released internationally.



  • 83:- 

       This film is the most anticipated film of 2020, This film will show us the journey of the world cup victory of India in 1983. Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Kapil dev. The film is directed by Kabir Khan.



  • RRR:- 

       After creating the iconic duology Bahubali, SS Rajamouli has come up with his new masterpiece, The film is based on the story of a pre-independence era where two revolutionaries will be fighting against the British government. The film will starred  Antirama Rao Junior, Ajay Devgan & Alia Bhatt.


  • Mumbai Saga:

       The Film will have the gangster-centric story, Many popular faces like John Abraham, Sunil Shetty, Anil Kapoor, etc will be seen in this film. Rumors suggested that the movie will be loosely based on Goodfellas or Godfather's storyline.



  • Toofan:

        After the epic transformation in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag by Farhan Akthar, he will be seen as a boxer in this film. In this film, we will also see Paresh Rawal as the coach.



  • Attack:

          It will be an action thriller film whose story is based on the rescue mission, John Abraham will be seen in the lead role, and on the supporting side, we will see Jacqueline Fernandes & Rakul Preet Singh.


  • Sadak 2: 

       The 90's cult classic movie Sadak's remake will be released this year. The film will have the cast of Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Alia Bhat & Pooja Bhat.



  • Chhalang:

        It will be a comedy film & will have the cast as Rajkumar Rao & Hansal Mehta.



  • Chehre:-

        Amitabh Bachhan & Emraan Hashmi have collaborated the first time for this film. It will be a thrilling film & along with Amitabh & Emraan, you will see other prominent actors as well.



  • Dhakkad:- 

        This film will be an action thriller where Kangana Ranaut will play the role of Spy. The Film has been shot at an overseas location.


  • Brahmastra:-

       This film takes more than 3 years to complete, It will be a superhero film & the superhero role will be played by Ranbir Kapoor along with Alia Bhatt, who is sharing the screen with Ranbir for the first time. The film will also have Amitabh Bachhan & Mouni Roy on the supporting side.


  • Jayeshbai Jordaar:- 

        After 83, Ranveer Singh will be seen in this film, Ranveer will play the role of typical Gujarati male & It will be based on comedy-drama. After reading the script Ranveer has immediately signed the film stating this will be the most fun film ever.



  • Uddham Singh:- 

        The Film will be based on the life of revolutionary freedom fighter Uddham Singh, URI star Vicky Kaushal will play the role of Uddham Singh.



  • Haseen Dilruba:- 

        This film will be a romantic thriller, starring Taapse Pannu & Vikrant Massey in the lead. The film will be directed by Vinil Mathew who earlier had directed the film Hasee Toh Phasee.


  • Laxmi Bomb:- 

        A lot of buzzes created around this film, Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the lead role. He will be portrayed as transgender for this role. It will a horror-comedy & remake of the Tamil Film, we will also see the Kiara Advani in this film along with Akshay.


  • Laal Singh Chaddha:-

       It will the remake of the Hollywood Iconic film "Forrest Grump", Aamir Khan will be seen in the title role. This film has already created much hype. Also for many years, Aamir Khan is compared with Tom Hanks due to the perfectionism of their acing skills.


  • Captain Vikram Batra:- 

       In this film Siddharth Malhotra will play the lead role. Audiences have kept high expectations from this film & Siddharth also needed the hit film desperately. This film needs to portray efficiently because from many years producers are struggling to get the rights of Vikram Batra Biopic.


  • Gunjan Saxena:- 

      This film will have Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, It will be the biopic based on the Life of Gunjan Saxena, who is among the first Indian air force pilots.
