Continuation to the Previous Blog, Here are the next two actors



                             Jack Nicholson






Short Intro:


His Original name is "John Joseph Nicholson", He is one of the most prominent American actors of his generation, well known for his versatile portrayals of unconventional, alienated outsiders. He has a total of 12 Oscar Nominations & has won 3 times. Other than Michael Caine, he is also notable for being one of the two actors who has received Oscar Nomination in every decade from the 1960s through the early 2000s.

Few Astonishing Facts about him:


1) When he played the role of Joker in Tim Burton's Batman(1989), He actually bought that Joker Costume worth $70,000.

2) The Joker actually became such an iconic role, that it was prominently featured during his "Life Achievement Award" ceremony at the American Film Institute in 1994.

3) He won his first Oscar playing a "Mental Patient" in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

4) In the early 1970s, Stanley Kubrick cast Jack Nicholson as Napoleon in a biopic, but the plans for the film fell through. The director and actor would finally work together nearly a decade later in the 1980's "The Shining".

5)  Even though he played the villain in 1989's "Batman," he got top billing over Michael Keaton as the title character. He also made sure he got a percentage of the merchandising, meaning his role as the Joker netted him between $60 and $90 million.

6) Jack Nicholson’s trademark look is his dark shaded glasses without which he is rarely seen,  when in public settings.

7) He is a big fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and refuses to miss a game when they play at home. He rather has his movie roles scheduled nowhere near the game days.

8) Growing up Jack Nicholson was raised by his grandmother whom he thought was his actual mother. He did not discover the truth until a reporter for TIME magazine broke the news to him during an interview.

9) Along with Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty, he was asked to play the role of Michael Corleone in The Godfather (1972).

10) He once said “You only lie to two people in your life, your girlfriend and the police.” – Jack Nicholson

Short Intro:


Marlon Brando, in full Marlon Brando, Jr., (born April 3, 1924, Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.—died July 1, 2004, Los Angeles, California), American motion-picture and stage actor is known for his visceral, brooding characterizations. Brando was the most celebrated of the method actors, and his slurred, mumbling delivery marked his rejection of classical dramatic training. His true and passionate performances proved him one of the greatest actors of his generation.

1) He was in the Charlie Chaplin movie, This was five years before The Godfather, It was the last film Chaplin made.

2) He hated memorizing lines but spoke Five languages(Dutch, French, German, Irish & Scottish)

3) He almost didn’t get the part of Don Corleone, Stanley Jaffe, president of the studio making The Godfather, said Brando would never be in the movie. But he eventually agreed to allow him the part in the Movie.

4) He Owned a private island in French Polynesia.

5) Brando starred in the only film he ever directed, the western One-Eyed Jacks (1961, Now a cult favorite, it was notorious at the time for Brando’s excessive expenditure of time and money.

6) According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Brando was paid a record $3.7 million ($15 million in inflation-adjusted dollars) and 11.75% of the gross profits for 13 days’ work on Superman.

7) He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1765 Vine Street in Hollywood, California on February 8, 1960.

8) In his final film, The Score (2001), he starred with Robert De Niro.

9) Marlon Brando is widely considered the greatest movie actor of all time, rivaled only by the more theatrically oriented Laurence Olivier in terms of esteem.

10) Marlon Brando is often considered as the "Pioneer of the Method Acting"

11) HIS ACADEMY AWARD WAS STOLENAfter winning Best Actor for his role in the 1954 film On the Waterfront, Brando's Academy Award was stolen. Years later, it was found at a London auction house and returned to the actor.
